Ohhh They say a change is as good as a rest, so maybe a little brightening up here and there. I too, still love the writing images and themes. Maybe you can find different things in the same lovely theme. Maybe incorporate those magical bats somehow;-) I say good luck & have fun!

Blogs can get very "busy." This one is clean and easy to read. My journal will turn 12 very soon and has essentially had the same design for 12 years. Every time I think about changing it, I can't figure out how I would do it.

I like the center piece of your banner very much. The fonts are lovely and the wording perfect. The blog colors are a bit grandmotherly, and not in a good grandmotherly way. I don't really see flashy colors, but perhaps wine colors. And play up your fountain pen collection more in the banner! I know it is not part of the blog, but your Blogger avatar (you writing a letter) is one of my very favorite avatars. Make it a button others can put on their blogs maybe? And I'd so love to see the kitties in the banner. I know it is cliché, but kitties and writing and the internet just go together.

My blog needs updating desperately. I want to design an OPP logo but I'm not very artistic. I am seriously thinking of hiring someone. Greg thinks I'm crazy ... I don't make a penny from the blog but I want to spend more money on it? It's an investment, I say!
