September Slammed

I've been exceptionally, unexpectedly busy.

I mean, I knew I'd be busy in September, but I didn't realize quite how insane it was going to be.

It's got me a little bit down. Not only have I not written any letters... I haven't even read my mail. Last week I read Tuesday through Friday's mail on Friday, and it's now Thursday and I haven't read any mail this week. I haven't even picked up my Thursday mail, in fact.

I'm doing a speedy blog post in between necessary work emails. It is most disappointing but I don't have a choice in the matter right now. I do apologize. I think next week things might calm down enough for me to read my mail, but I don't see big changes anytime soon.

I miss writing letters and postcards.

  1. No worries, dear MissiveMaven! I am sure most of your correspondents are happy just sending you mail to brighten a moment, whatever that moment might be.

I suspect mid-winter will find you with time to spend in your new cozy writing nook. This time of year seems to be crazy busy for many types of businesses. It is end of fiscal year for the non-profit I work for and things are NUTS. I scheduled a vacation well before anyone thought it would be so crazy so I am very, very lucky to have next week off, and enjoying time with my family.

  4. "September Slammed" is about right! I can't believe how busy I've gotten, as well. Just all of a sudden - wham! I haven't been doing much of my down time hobbies either. Glad to see you're still alive though! Good luck getting through!

  5. I did wonder what you were up to. I hope you get enough free time to relax, contemplate, and write very soon.

  6. Besides, we all know you care about us, and are WANTING to write. I think we can all say that we're just happy to hear from you, whenever you can write.

I know it's hard, but try not to stress about not writing, maybe just look forward to the time when you can?

  8. I know what you mean, my life got busy with helping a young friend with wedding preparations and I'm feeling like my correspondents will wonder what happened to me. I have a stack of letters to reply to, also. I hope you get your writing time back soon.

  9. This is how I'm feeling too. My life is in a crazy uphill battle right now. I haven't written a letter/postcard in a few weeks due to the move and everything else that's been going on. I am hoping to fix that this upcoming week.

  10. I have been feeling the same way. It seemed like all the mail related blogs have been pretty quiet. I have several unopened letters because I know they are special and I really need to focus on them when I open them.
