Watercolor Soda by Sirpa

Watercolor Soda by Sirpa

This amazing watercolor of my cat Soda came to me from Sirpa, a wonderful pen pal and mail artist from Finland. Sirpa's letters are always a work of art, with frequent hand-painted details, but this one captured my heart like no other!

Using a photo that I posted on this blog of Soda in a box, she painted this watercolor image of Soda! I need to get this framed.

The entire letter was beautiful, and she detailed it on her own blog - you should check it out, especially the whole sheet of fairy stamps used on the package!

Also after my own heart, the card that featured the watercolor of Soda was written TO Soda. Of course Soda appreciates that. (She is purring on the couch next to me as I type, of course.)

  2. That is really, really nice.
And what a coincidence: I was thinking of your blog when I bought a copy of "The Painted Letters of Percy Kelly" this morning (on sale!). You would like it and if I can get a cheap copy, I may send you one.
    All the best

  4. Thanks for the link, Julie.

A gentle hint: careful with those Ws when you're trying to link your blog. Your blogspot address does not actually contain the www anyway (unless you paid a special charge for the domain name without the blogspot part). Your url is theletterwritingrevolution.blogspot.com, no www prefix on that one.

  5. I just adore the water color painting of Soda. I need to get back into water color painting again. When I have the time I will like to.
    Cheers!

  7. Awh. My mom's friend's dog had an operation so my mom's dog sent her a get-well card ;) It's so cute to do those things!
