This fine letter, with its own special Letter Writers Alliance postmark, came to me from Donovan, one of the LWA mavens herself.

She often indulges me with bats.

The stationery has to be one of the most charmingly re-purposed examples I've seen: it's a line of paper elephants, connected by a string. Very fun to read and open!
Ha! Love it! Donovan has really nice writing, too. This is good advertising for LWA; it makes me want to join!
ReplyDeleteThose elephants are so cute, awesome, and clever!
ReplyDeleteOh--very nice!
ReplyDeleteEliza - the LWA is well worth joining. It's a fabulous organization and I support it wholeheartedly.
ReplyDeleteI love the postmark...and the stamps. The elephants are over-the-top wonderful.
ReplyDeleteDoes that postmark say MAR 13, 2010? Oh man, I really hope, for your sake, you're not *that* far behind with your letters...
ReplyDeleteYes, Monica, the postmark says March 13. I photographed the letter in June. I am still in June photos for blog posting.
ReplyDeleteBut I do still have some letters in my pile with pretty ancient postmarks. I get frustrated when people continue to call attention to that, or how long it takes me to blog about a letter (which is generally far longer than it takes to respond to one), but I have to work and sleep, and that simply must take priority over hobbies like letter-writing.
Too cute .
