Soda the lettercat strikes again

Soda the lettercat strikes again

My most enthusiastic letter-writing helper, Soda, contributed to a recent letter. She was cute enough, posed on the letter and the surrounding supplies, that I photographed her, as above, before she added her own personal mark to one of the pages I was writing:

Soda's tail smudge

Wanna see it closer?

SODA SMUDGE EFFECT

The Soda Smudge Effect: one cat's contribution to epistolary excellence.

(It's worth noting that she's sleeping on the couch next to me as I type this post. She's very good company. She is, of course, sleeping on top of the Postcrossing postcards that came in today's mail, that I need to register as received... but she's sleeping so cutely...)

  1. Soda looks like queen of the castle, super cute! My mom's cat does that too, as soon as you lay out any sort of art or craft project- PLOP! She'll park herself right on top of the supplies. : )

  3. Awh, Soda seems like the loveliest company. I wish one of my cats was a lettercat. I walked past Cameron's computer yesterday and he was looking at a picture of a big beautiful white-nosed black cat and I said "That looks like Missive Maven's cat" and he said "It is" - he was on your Flickr page admiring your cat :D Ha.

  6. so adorablllleeee. goodness, she is too cute. i wish i had animals that were small enough to sit atop letters and be close by when i write. my dogs will sometimes come in the room, but unless i've stretched a bunch of stuff across the floor, they're a good few feet away. anyway, soda is beyond cute and well deserves the stamps she already adornes, hehe. <3 <3

  9. She is a beautiful cat. I wonder if in her past life she was a writer and that is why she adds her contribution to your letters.
