This fab vintage advertisement poster photocopy came from blog reader George over at My Supply Room. Thanks, George - this is a total gem! He said he can remember these fashions, oh so 60s.

I can't decide what I should do with it - make a special envelope? Use the pen dancers as graphics? In any case, I am tickled with the fun vintage gift.
yes I would love that too . I am sure you will find something creative to do with it I love it so foo fa lah . !!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great advert. Oh, and I do remember those white go-go boots. Hmmm, wonder what I did with them, and do so wish I'd gotten one of those pens back then.
ReplyDeleteI can't thank you enough for posting this image. I have searched for these pens for literally years! Now I know what they were called, and I can search more accurately. I had a couple of these pens when I was about 7 years old, and have always wondered what happened to them. I mistakenly thought they were Write Brothers pens because I remember a TV ad jingle during this time period that sang "Write on, Brothers, Write On!". I always associated these pens with that song.I just love the little bell bottom flair at the base of the pens. Now if I can just track down some Hullabaloo school folders I'll be set! :)
ReplyDeleteLisa, so glad to help you. George at the above linked blog is quite the expert, so if you need any more info I highly recommend him as a resource.
ReplyDeleteWhen my father was made president of papemate I gave him a papermate pen decorated with small stickers and fashioned a holder out of a drilled out golf ball as a pen holder. The rest is history. Wish I had a few of them now.
ReplyDeleteWow, fun memory- thanks for sharing!
