Going postal

Here is yet another "you don't know me but I follow your blog" letter

I just love how she started this one! It also came in a fun handmade envelope:

Going postal, front

But the back of the envelope is my favorite side:

Going postal

Tee hee!

  1. Grrrrreat! Oh you do get the cutest correspondence.

And of course, _you_ inspire the getting of it. As so many of us say, when we write; "We follow your blog... And just had to write." ^_^

I soooo love the Bette Davis stamp, which arrived today!!! Oh I have "pretty stamp envy"!

And bet you got your Simpson's stamps yesterday. I, on the other hand, went out in hopes of getting the new 'Love Stamp.' And noooooooo.... My PO only had the 'Wedding Stamp.' -moan- I wanted the "King and Queen of Hearts" stamps. Grrrrr.......

OK, I'll just have to learn to order stamps, over the Net. Somehow... Go back to the net site where I saw the new stamps, I suppose.

  2. Ahhh, but Aunt Amelia - did you know that you're one of only two people who wrote me "I follow your blog" letters that have actually continued into a correspondence? I get a lot of one-shot-deals, but it's such a gem when they turn into a true exchange.

Stamps - I went to the PO yesterday and hoped that they would sell me the King and Queen of Hearts stamp anyway, but they wouldn't. Why release the Simpsons stamp one day before? The only reason I went to the PO yesterday and not today is because I had a chance to go during business hours yesterday, and knew I wouldn't today. Oh well.

  3. Oh really! Only two of us {blog followers} have continued to write? Interesting.

But you know how {'cause I told you} I had the feeling that maybe, you'd not really want to _continue_ to exchange letters... That you might have already had plenty of correspondents, before I came on the scene... And that I'd understand, if that was the case.

Wondering if others who wrote once, had the same feeling? And they weren't so forward as to continue to write back? :-) Who knows? All I know is that I've learned to "be forward," and did keep writing. :-)

As to the pretty stamps ~ I've had the feeling that up here in the boonies, we just don't get many pretty stamps in our {two} Post Offices. -sigh- Don't know why. But it seems that way.

I've wanted pretty stamps before, but not as much as I do now! People like you, have really inspired me to seek them out, this time! And one way or the other, I _will_ find 'em! -grin- It's just another part of the _fun_ of letter writing, for me.

Oh I doooooooooooo love that Bette Davis stamp! Mmmmmmmm... I'm sure I can order those, along with the King/Queen of Hearts stamps... Already have some of the extra postage stamps, to start using on Monday.

Ohhhh... tooo long a comment! -grin-

  4. Well this is timely - I JUST posted about "a top-notch source for old stamps!"You can also order anything currently available from the U.S. Postal service, but their shipping charges are actually more expensive than Errol's! Go figure.
